The `Garden' Connections.

Last night for dinner, my family and I went to the `Garden' , Sunway Pyramid, for a special occasion, celebrating my husband's birthday. It just opened its outlet here recently. There are two more outlets, 1U and  the Curve.  Last few years, we sort  of make an arrangement any members of the family can chose the place of their choice for a quiet birthday celebration.
At least, it saves me the hassle and tussle of preparing dinner and clearing up.After all how often you get to go to places like this. My husband chose `Garden' because when we
went to `pyra'  searching for accessories  at  `machines', we saw this store full of white and green flowers, what we thought to be a florist shop.  When the lady passed us a flyer we realized it was a restaurant. And my husband `said we should come here one of this days!'. .

'machines' is actually an Apple Premium Reseller store showcasing the latest and widest range of iPods, iPad, iPhone 4, Apple Mac portables(laptops) and desktops, software and accessories. A few weeks before my husband's birthday, my children and I thought we would surprised my husband with an iPad.
He missed out on  the iPad during the first launching and when the second batches came, we beat him to it. We knew his preferences (32Gig, Wi-Fi + 3G) . We strategize our plans i) how to buy the goods and ii) how to  smuggle it inside the house without my husband knowing it. Lucky us, he was cleaning his `koi' pond and the mission was successful, ` the eagle has landed'.

Impatient and excited my children insisted they gave their `aboh' a very early birthday gift, 2 weeks shy of his actual date.
It was a happy moment!! He already finished exploring the iPad 80% and loving every  moment of it. I think it was a good gift because he's been carrying his laptop bag that weighs like a tonne. He even complaint of shoulder ache. Now, travelling light and burden lessened.
Lets get back to `Garden'. They served western and asian cuisine eg pastas, steak, salmon, mee goreng nasi goreng etc . Not many choices of dessert. Normal tastes of food, nothing exquisites. According to my husband, when you go to places like this you're paying for the surroundings. Warm lightings with flowers in every nook and corners. White walls and white furnitures. There's also a pianist  serenading us throughout our meal,  songs like Getaran Jiwa, Rindu bayangan and 70's english  song, forgotten the titles. But I like the fresh juice in a pitcher concept. Over all  it was a cosy and romantic place.
